
Goals of the Act
Specific goals of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) are for California’s public agencies to:
- Identify the significant environmental effects of their actions.
- Avoid those significant environmental effects, where feasible.
- Mitigate those significant environmental effects, where feasible.
