CalFresh:
Is Supplemental nutrition assistance available to Individuals and families who meet eligibility criteria. Its purpose is to assist household in increasing their food purchasing power. Click here for more information on filing a CalFresh application.

MediCal/Path2Health/CMSP:
Health care coverage for qualifying persons and families.
CalWorks is a time-limited cash assistance program for children and their parent(s) or qualifying relative with whom they live. Those receiving assistance through this program automatically qualify for Medi-Cal and may qualify for CalFresh, formerly known as Food Stamps. Employable adults are required to work or look for work.

General Assistance is a program for individuals or families that do not qualify for other cash programs. Individuals can receive General Assistance up to 3 months in a 12-month period, unless they are exempt from these time limits.
Cash Assistance Programs for Immigrants (CAPI) provides cash aid to disabled, blind and/or aged legal non-citizens. The assistance program is available for California residents who are ineligible to receive Supplemental Security Income/ Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA). Note that Refugees who are receiving CaIWORKs or SSI/SSP cannot receive RCA.

Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) provides cash assistance, Medi-Cal, and CalFresh to refugees for up to 12 months. The benefits start with the month in which the person was admitted into the U.S. as a refugee, the date asylum was granted, or from the date of application for aid was received (for trafficking and crime victims).
Trafficking Crime Victims Assistance Program (TCVAP) provides State-funded cash aid, employment, supportive and health care services to noncitizen victims of a severe form of human trafficking and to noncitizen victims of domestic violence and other serious crimes who are not eligible to RCA or Regular CalWORKs.
