Meetings

Meetings are twice a month, in two locations. For specifics about board meetings, call the clerk of the board at 530-289-3295.

First Tuesday of every month:

Board Chambers, Courthouse

Third Tuesday of every month:

Loyalton Social Hall
105 Beckwith St.
Loyalton, CA 96118 

All decisions must be made in sessions open to the public, except for decisions regarding confidential personnel, labor, and legal issues. On closed session matters, official actions must be reported.

The Board of Supervisors is a five-member board elected by each district for 4-year terms.

Make Your Voice Heard

Attend any board meeting to learn about and to speak on issues of concern. You may ask to speak on any agenda item as it is discussed. For items not on the agenda, you must address the board during the public comment agenda item, which is usually listed early on the agenda.

Because of state Brown Act restrictions, the board is not permitted to take any action on items addressed under public comment. However, they may choose to add an item that was raised under public comment to a future board meeting agenda.
