Disaster Healthcare Volunteer Program

If you're a healthcare provider with an active license, a public health professional, or a member of a medical disaster response team in California who would like to volunteer for disaster service, the Disaster Healthcare Volunteers is a quick and easy way to do your part during an emergency. 

Sierra County Health Coordinating Committee (SCHCC) Meetings

Meetings are open to the public. Relevant speakers and presentations are occasionally included in the agenda. The meetings are intended to be a venue for the gathering of stakeholders interested in the health of Sierra County residents and communities. Examples of key entities generally present are Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) grant partners; Eastern Plumas Health Care Skilled Nursing Facility and Ambulance, Western Sierra Medical Clinic, and Downieville Volunteer Ambulance. In addition to these partners, US Forest Service, CalTrans, OES, Sheriff’s Office, Child Care Council, faith based groups, environmental health, chamber of commerce members, mental health and other community members are usually represented.

Meetings are generally held quarterly on the fourth Thursday of the month in January, April, July and October, alternating between east and west sides of the county. For further information and to be included on the email list contact LeTina Vanetti 530-993-6737 Email
