Public Health Programs
California Children's Services (CCS)
A state program for children with certain diseases or health problems. Through this program, children up to 21 years old can get the health care and services they need.

Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP)
Program offers complete health assessments by medical providers for the early detection and prevention of disease and disabilities in California’s children and youth.

Family Planning
Planning and spacing of pregnancies are an important part of every woman's health. Our services are free for anyone who financially qualifies.

Flu Vaccine
Take time to get a flu vaccine.

HIV Testing & Treatment Programs
We provide confidential and quick HIV testing at Sierra County Public Health.

Vaccines can protect both the people who receive them and those with whom they come in contact.

Maternal, Child & Adolescent Health (MCAH)
Provides women in Sierra County with assistance in accessing prenatal care; education to assure healthy pregnancies and babies; and referrals to county resources.

Medical Marijuana
Is administered through a patient's county of residence. Upon obtaining a recommendation from their physician for use of medicinal marijuana, patients and their primary caregivers may apply for and be issued; a Medical Marijuana Identification Card.

Tuberculosis (TB) Testing
Available at the Sierra County Public Health M-W by appointment only.

Women, Infants & Children (WIC)
Supplemental Nutrition Program federally-funded health and nutrition program.
