The Sierra County Transportation Commission is seeking interested persons to serve on the following:
SIERRA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
MEMBER AT LARGE REPRESENTING TRANSIT AGENCIES (1 Vacancy)
The Sierra County Transportation Commission (SCTC) serves as the Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA) for the County of Sierra. Through coordination with the City of Loyalton, the County, Caltrans, and the communities of Sierra County, and in conformance with other plans and studies including the Sierra County General Plan-2012 and the City of Loyalton General Plan – 2008, the Sierra County Transportation Commission identifies transportation needs, proposes solutions and assists in selection of projects conceived to create a balanced regional transportation system.
The Sierra County Transportation Commission is comprised of three (3) members of the Board of Supervisors and (1) alternate, three (3) members of the Loyalton City Council and one (1) member representing transit appointed by remaining six (6) members of the Commission.
Applications are now being accepted to fill the transit vacancy on the Sierra County Transportation Commission. The SCTC offers travel reimbursement (vehicle mileage rate) for the one member representing transit.

APPOINTMENT will be made at the next appropriate meeting of the Sierra County Transportation Commission.
