EASTERN SIERRA COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES
Discussion on existing fire protection arrangements and the lack of organized fire protection to many eastern Sierra County properties and identify options available to the Board of Supervisors, local fire protection agencies and property owners.

  1. Scope of discussion and introduction of County staff and guests
  2. Presentation on how fire protection services are organized in the County; the County Fire Plan and distinguishing between wildland and structural fire services; the status of protection in eastern Sierra County (eastern Sierra Valley, Long Valley, Verdi); issues encountered with the present availability of fire protection services; options available for fire protection services
  3. Update by the Sierra County Fire Protection District No. 1 on possible annexation of areas within eastern Sierra County
  4. Open discussion and questions from those attending
  5. Discussion by Board of Supervisors and direction to County staff
